SCOTTISH CITYLINK FARE CHANGES

Scottish Citylink is advising that Standard fares across our network will rise by an average 2% from 2 January 2016.

The 2% average rise is less than the current RPI inflation rate of 2.2%.

Fares have been frozen for the past two years, but due to increasing operational costs it is unfortunate that we are having to pass these on to our customers.

However, we are freezing the price of our Explorer Pass fares and Belfast fares.

Revenue from fares allows us to invest in customer improvements. In the past 2 years, we have introduced around £7 million worth of new vehicles on to the Citylink network to provide an even better travelling environment for customers.

Scottish Citylink's inter-city coach services across the country continue to offer excellent value for money and can provide a cheaper alternative to driving or taking the train.

We are facing continued rising costs but have worked hard to protect our customers and keep prices as low as possible. We continue to offer a wide range of fares to give our customers choice and flexibility.
