New Belfast service for City-hopping Glaswegians this summer
Glaswegians can take advantage of more city breaks than ever this summer, after Scottish Citylink announced a new service to Belfast from the city.
Costing from just £35 Return, the new Belfast service will leave three times a day from Buchanan Street Bus Station and take passengers right into the heart of the busy Northern Irish capital.
With coaches leaving first thing in the morning and returning late in the evening, passengers can enjoy a day trip to the popular destination or decide to extend their stay and experience the cosmopolitan city’s busy nightlife.
The Belfast service is one of several additions to the list of destinations Glaswegians can reach from Buchanan Bus Station this summer. Journeys to Oban have been increased to seven times a day, Fort William eight times a day and Skye three times a day.
Oban, Skye and Fort William can all be reached for as little as £5 each way.
Nicola Campbell, Marketing Manager at Scottish Citylink, said: “Now that the better weather is here, people want to make the most of it and to get out of the city for a break.
“Belfast is an increasingly popular destination, which is why we have introduced the new service, and we know places like Fort William and Oban continue to be favourites with families keen to see a bit of Scotland.
“Traveling by coach is convenient, comfortable, hassle-free and good value for money – you can get to Skye for less than it would cost to see a film at the cinema in Glasgow.”
Citylink has fast and frequent services to more than 200 towns and cities across the country with over 400 services per day on comfortable, modern coaches.
Glaswegians traveling to Belfast can expect a lively and vibrant capital city, which also doubles up as the gateway to the stunning countryside of Northern Ireland.
The city is compact and easy to get around and offers a wide range of accommodation to suit all pockets, from cosy B&Bs around the University, to riverside self-catering establishments and city centre boutique hotels.
Belfast also has a multitude of stylish bars, gourmet restaurants, trendy clubs and some of the best shopping in the UK. Visitors can enjoy traditional Irish music in a local pub or dance the night away to the latest vibes.
