Citylink announce special services to FatBoy Slim Gig

Scottish Citylink today announced details of special services it will be running for music fans travelling to the Fatboy Slim gig in the Highlands.

The company will be providing direct coach services to the Rock Ness event from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Aviemore, Dunfermline and Pitlochry. It will also operate shuttle buses from Inverness to the event outside the village of Dores.

The event near Inverness on June 24, now sold out, is to attract 20,000 people travelling from all corners of the globe.

Nicola Campbell, Marketing Manager at Scottish Citylink, said: "We are delighted to support this event and look forward to helping many fans enjoy hassle free travel directly to the festival from across a number of key towns and cities across Scotland.

"Citylink has already received a huge number of calls from music fans travelling to the gig and we are advising people to book in advance to guarantee they don't miss out on a seat to get to this major dance festival and also to avoid unnecessary queuing on the day.

Return fares to the Fatboy Slim event from the named destinations are as follows:

  • Aberdeen - (Guild Street Bus Station) - £18
  • Edinburgh (Edinburgh Bus Station) - £22
  • Glasgow (Buchanan Bus Station) - £22
  • Perth - (Perth Bus Station) - £15
  • Aviemore – (Cairngorm Hotel, opposite rail station) - £10
  • Dunfermline (Bus Station) - £20
  • Pitlochry (Fishers Hotel) - £15

Citylink will also operate shuttle buses every half hour between 11.00am to 4pm from Inverness bus station with return fares costing just £5. Return journeys from the event to Inverness will operate from 11pm to 12pm

Passengers wishing to travel with these special services from Citylink are required to pre-book their journey to guarantee them a seat.

 

Fatboy Slim, also known as DJ Norman Cook, is to lead the line up for event at Loch Ness which includes special guests such as Isle of Skye-born Mylo.

An event spokesperson said: “The gig has received some incredible support and we are expecting people from the four corners of the globe and across the length of breadth of the UK to travel to this spectacular event.

“We are delighted Scottish Citylink is supporting this by providing music fans a hassle-free way to travel to the event so all they need to think about is having a fantastic time!”
