Scottish Citylink launches Glasgow Service to REM's Loch Lomond gig
Scottish Citylink has stepped in today (Thursday 9th June 2005) to help hundreds of REM fans in Glasgow travel to the band’s eagerly awaited gig in Loch Lomond.
The leading coach operator discovered yesterday (Wednesday 8th June 2005) that no direct coach or train services were in place from Glasgow to the event in Balloch Park, Loch Lomond on the 18th June 2005.
The company then immediately introduced a return service from Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station departing at 3pm for only £9 return.
Services will also depart from:
- Edinburgh (Bus Station) - Depart at 1.30pm, £12 Return
- Perth (Bus Station) - Depart at 2pm, £12 Return
- Dundee (Bus Station) - Depart at 1.40pm, £16 Return
- Aberdeen (Bus Station) - Depart at 12pm, £24 Return
- Inverness (Bus Station) - Depart at 11.30am, £24 Return
Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager, said: “We are delighted to be offering services direct from Glasgow to the REM gig. Our services take the strain and worry out of traveling to and from concerts and ensure that you can just relax and enjoy the event without worrying about parking or missing the last train.”
