Bus companies launch integrated tickets in new deal for visitors
Express coach operator, Scottish Citylink has teamed up with ‘Glasgow Tour’ and ‘Edinburgh Tour’ to offer tourists a package to see Scotland’s cities at reduced prices.
The bus companies are offering integrated ticketing that provides a saving of 20 percent. The deal allows visitors to travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow with Scottish Citylink and then hop on and off the award winning sightseeing tours at any of the stops.
Edinburgh Tour, franchised by Lothian Buses, takes sightseers to major attractions from Our Dynamic Earth to the City Art Centre.
Stops made by Glasgow Tour, franchised by Scotguide, include Glasgow School of Art, The Willow Tea Rooms and for the football fanatics, The Scottish Football Museum.
“This is a great opportunity to take advantage of Citylink’s great prices with the added bonus of seeing the sights in two of Scotland’s incredible cities at a reduced cost,” explained Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager, of Scottish Citylink.
Murphy added “ The cost of travelling from Edinburgh to Glasgow including participating in the sightseeing tour is £10, from Dundee £17 and from Perth £13.”
Customers can take advantage of this offer by purchasing tickets from any Citylink appointed agent or on board from the Citylink driver or via the telesales office on 08705 50 50 50. Lines are open daily from 8am to 9pm. Part of the ticket should be given to the driver of the Edinburgh Tour or Glasgow Tour who provide a Tour ticket in return.
