Explore Scotland with New Improved Travel Pass

11.02.2002

A Scottish coach company is introducing its new improved travel pass this week following last year’s record sales of the product.

Sales of Citylink’s Explorer Pass grew more than 150 per cent last year due, according the company’s Managing Director Neil Wood, to the improved position of the offer and the fact it is now available online.

Scottish Citylink has got together with other transport and accommodation partners to relaunch the tourism product with new partners including Eurohostels as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh city bus tours.

The pass entitles customers to unlimited travel on Citylink services over a selected number of days, plus discounts of up to 50% on other bus services, on ferries and on hostel accommodation.

Neil Wood commented: “The Explorer Pass is the ideal transport solution to take in all there is to see and do in Scotland. Customers can travel from Shetland to the Borders and from Fife to the Outer Hebrides. Integrated transport is something we are dedicated to and I am delighted to have such strong support from our partners.

“Prices remain competitive with three days consecutive travel for £35 (only £2 up on last year), five days travel from eight for £55 (price frozen) and eight days travel from sixteen for £85 (price frozen).”

Citylink travels to over 200 destinations within Scotland, so whether visitors are looking for a city break in Glasgow, Scotland’s most fashion conscious city, or would like to tour the grounds of Dornoch Cathedral, where Madonna got married, Citylink provides the opportunity.

Citylink’s established partners include Caledonian MacBrayne and P&O Ferries, Stagecoach Fife, Stagecoach Western, Stagecoach Bluebird, Munro’s of Jedburgh, Buskers, Shiel Buses, Highland Country Buses, Independent Backpackers Hostels and Scottish Youth Hostel Associations.

Issued by the BIG partnership on behalf of Scottish Citylink.
