Citylink helps music lovers to party in style this summer

18.06.2003

The summer is looking bright for music lovers this summer with Citylink helping them to party in style.

Scotland’s leading express coach operator has secured the prestigious contracts from DF Concerts to be the official transport provider for some of Scotland’s top music events this summer.

The summer line-up includes:

  • Bon Jovi at Ibrox on 22nd June
  • Eminem at Hampden on 24th June
  • Robbie Williams at Murrayfield on 28-29th June
  • T in the Park at Balado on 11-14th July

Citylink will be on-hand to provide fast and regular shuttle services to and from the gigs from many of Scotland’s major towns and cities and it is anticipated that 30,000 music fans will take advantage of the services.

The contracts were secured by Citylink as a result of its extensive Scottish network and marketing expertise, and the new high profile contracts are providing a welcome boost.

Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager of Scottish Citylink, is extremely pleased with the company’s performance.

He said: “Much of our client base is under 30 and we are glad to be in the position to provide this service to them.

“It is great to be involved with this line-up of high profile concerts this year and we hope to build on this success and become an integral part of the Scottish music scene in the future.

“This is the second year in a row we have been appointed as the official transport provider to Scotland’s largest music festival, T in the Park, and travelling by coach is by far the best way for music lovers to revel in the atmosphere and avoid the stress of driving.”
