Scottish Citylink expand service network with new summer Perth – Oban route

06.05.2003

Scottish Citylink has further expanded its growing network of routes with the launch of a new summer service between Perth and Oban.

The new service - which will see the introduction of two journeys each way Friday to Monday – will launch on 26th May 2003 and run to 5th October 2003.

The new service is the result of partnership working between Citylink, Perth and Kinross Council, Argyll and Bute Council and Stirling Council who have all made a financial contribution to the provision of the route.

The new route highlights Scottish Citylink’s commitment to providing a comprehensive service in Scotland by expanding its timetable to reach as many people as possible.

Citylink’s Managing Director, Neil Wood, believes expansion is important for the continued growth of the company.

He said: “This new route demonstrates Citylink’s dedication to providing a wide-ranging and complete service.

“We have a strong customer base in both Perth and Oban and we have responded to their requests in the provision of this new service. In addition, customers can now travel to the west coast from Dundee and Aberdeen by changing at Perth rather than Glasgow.”

Issued by the BIG partnership on behalf of Scottish Citylink.
