Citylink cut fares by 60% for elderly passengers on Aberdeen-Dundee route
Scottish Citylink is introducing lower fares for elderly passengers between Aberdeen and Dundee from Sunday 26th September 2004.
Passengers aged 60 and over will now be able to enjoy return travel between the two cities for only £5 – a saving of 60%. The fare is available for all points on the route including Forfar, Montrose, Brechin and Arbroath where the current Day Return is more than £5.
A special low fare has already being introduced between Glasgow and Edinburgh and more than 1000 senior passengers benefited from the £3 return fare in the first week alone.
Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager for Scottish Citylink, said: “The route between Aberdeen and Dundee is very popular and these fares are part of our continuing strategy to win new customers and to reward existing customers for their loyalty and support.
“Our customers in the 60 plus age group are very important to us and we have reduced prices by 60% for this group on this key route to make traveling with Citylink as easy and enjoyable as possible.
“We have had a very positive response from this initiative between Glasgow and Edinburgh with many tickets being booked on-line.”
Tickets are available from the driver on the coach through the Citylink Call Centre on 08705 50 50 50, by visiting www.citylink.co.uk or from Citylink agents.
