Scottish Citylink announce changes to Stirling-Edinburgh Service
The Scottish Citylink has announced timetable changes to its Stirling – Edinburgh service from 4th October 2004.
The express coach operator will now focus upon providing a commuter service on the Dunblane – Stirling – Edinburgh route at peak times from Monday to Friday with eight services daily.
As a result the Saturday service is to be withdrawn and there will be a reduction in the frequency of service outwith peak travel times.
The number of stops will also be reduced with the service no longer stopping at Causewayhead Road, Easter Cornton Road and Stirling University Road.
Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager, said: “We continually review our services and as part of this on-going process we have altered our provision to help ensure the long term future of this route.”
Citylink is continuing to offer a ten journey ticket for £25 and plans to promote the revised service with an advertising campaign aimed at attracting rail and car users to coach travel.
