Citylink cut fares for elderly passengers

Scottish Citylink today (Monday 16th August 2004) introduced lower fares for elderly passengers between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

 

Passengers aged 60 and over will now be able to enjoy return travel between Glasgow and Edinburgh for only £3 and between Harthill and Edinburgh or Glasgow for just £2.

 

The off peak day return will be available after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

 

Paul Murphy, Marketing Manager for Scottish Citylink, said: “The route between Edinburgh and Glasgow is very popular and these fares are part of our continuing strategy to win new customers and to reward existing customers for their loyalty and support.

 

“Our customers in the 60 plus age group are very important to us and we have reduced prices by 50% for this group on this key route to make traveling with Citylink as easy and enjoyable as possible.”
