Citylink offer the perfect way to travel the west coast to Skye. From Glasgow there are three direct services a day and a fourth to Fort William. If you are travelling from Edinburgh you can reach Skye by connecting in Glasgow on Service 900 or by travelling as far as Fort William on Service 913, which runs daily during the summer season between May and October.
Climbers can stop off at White Corries and spectacular Glencoe and at Fort William there’s a handy connection to Mallaig with Shiel Buses. There are also two services every day between Inverness and Portree. Points of interest on the way include Drumnadrochit and historic Urquhart Castle. Connections are available at Inverness from as far north as Ullapool, Wick and Thurso.
